The desire to hand paint

In the 70's and 80's my Dad was what you'd call a bad ass. Not as far as a tough guy no, I'm talking about as a custom painter of cars and signs and anything in general you could slap some 1 shot on. However my dad got in some trouble and time passed and he didn't paint anymore. Well I have always had the desire to learn how to hand paint/letter but never got the chance.

So about a year ago I decided to jump start my Dad back into the whole painting mode. I bought him some brushes including some squirrel haired Mack daggers, a few liners etc. and some paint which turned out to be a redic price. But I was determined to get him going so he could show me. However like most things in my life nothing can go the way I planned and my Dad although he has created a few things has yet to come over and show me anything. I guess I need to bug him more.
A few years have passed since I was writing the 1st 2 paragraphs with little change bought a few more brushes and paint but my Dad still has not started to paint again. I did discover a few up and coming brands in the custom paint industry. The first being Alpha 6, they have lots of enamel colors and even started doing acrylic. They also have made some other supplies. The other company is Flying Squirrel brush co. Makers of well you guessed it brushes they too make a few other supplies.
My desire hasn't changed so I'm still trying to paint/stripe however I have chose to go back to school once again and although it's not the degree I wanted it could help me in the future. On top of that if the company i work for now wants to pay for my education to leave them well go ahead I'll take it.
NEVER STOP CREATING
